End of term KMS String Department Concert

Time is flying - today is the end of term at Kampala Music School.  Lessons resume in September after I will have left Kampala, but orchestra rehearsals for the concert on September 23 will continue during August.

Maloe, head of the String Department presented the end of term concert.

 Grace was declared an honorary string player since she also plays (clarinet) in the Junior Orchestra
 Ddamulira plays in the main Kampala Symphony Orchestra; hear his performance below


Miyuki and Shamirah played the Bach-Gounod Ave Maria as a duet
Michael plays in the Kampala Symphony - I gave him a lesson on Thursday and we are going to work on a Bach Bourree next week. 
 Here he plays a trio with violin teacher Nicholas and Assistant Director Natasha at the piano


The concert ended with the Ugandan National anthem performed by the Junior Orchestra
